Respiratory Care WA has been supporting Western Australians impacted by respiratory conditions live their best life since 1964.
We provide free, personalised respiratory assessment, diagnosis, education and ongoing support for people with asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other respiratory conditions. Referrals are welcomed from General Practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, Aboriginal Health Services and community health organisations.

Referrals
A referral from a GP or other healthcare professional is required to access Respiratory Care WA services. We are unable to accept self-referrals.
Estimated wait times
Adults: 8-12 weeks from referral to initial assessment
Children: 4-5 weeks from referral to initial assessment
Wait times are indicative only and may vary. Referrals are clinically triaged, and patients with higher clinical needs may be seen sooner. If your condition worsens, contact your GP or call 000 in an emergency.

Urgent and Emergency Care
Respiratory Care WA does not provide urgent or emergency medical care.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
For urgent, non-emergency health advice, contact your GP or call Healthdirect on 1800 022 222, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Respiratory Care WA provides appointment-based respiratory assessments, pulmonary function testing and chronic disease management. Referrals and enquiries are managed during business hours.
