From children receiving life-changing diagnostic testing to parents finding personalised guidance and adults gaining clarity about their symptoms and treatment, every number in this snapshot represents someone in our community who received support from our team.
One of those families is Kirah and her two-year-old son Greyson. They recently visited our new under-6 respiratory clinic, delivered by Paediatric Respiratory Specialist Dr James Gibbons.
Their GP referred them after repeated hospital visits and multiple rounds of antibiotics and steroid treatments for wheezing and bronchiolitis.
Greyson is now on a three-month course of treatment and will continue to be monitored as he grows for signs of asthma. For Kirah, finally receiving the right support brought immense relief.
”Respiratory Care WA was a lighthouse in the storm," - Kirah
Stories like theirs remind us why timely respiratory care is so important for families across Western Australia.
Your Christmas gift today can help us reach even more people who need our services in 2026. Please consider donating to our 2025 Christmas Appeal. Thank you.
