I am from a Community or Sports Group

More than 237,000 people are impacted by asthma and over 46,000 people have COPD in Western Australia.

If you’re a coach from a sporting group or a member of a community organisation, that could be 1 in 9 of your members impacted by asthma or 1 in 7 over the age of 40 living with COPD.

Respiratory Care WA is committed to supporting all Western Australians impacted by a respiratory condition to live a better quality of life through community and sports education and workshops.

For Sports Groups

Physical activity is important to help manage asthma but for some people living with asthma, it can also be more challenging to participate in sports. For others, they may be concerned that their asthma is holding them back from getting involved.

Each person’s asthma is different so it’s important to understand the various ways in which you can support people to safely get back on the playing field.
