Community Services and Outreach

Respiratory Care WA works alongside metro, regional and remote communities across Western Australia to improve access to respiratory health education and support.

Through outreach programs and partnerships with local organisations and First Nations communities, we help deliver free, culturally responsive services closer to where people live.

We regularly provide in-person asthma and COPD education sessions tailored to community groups. Sessions can cover Asthma and COPD First Aid, common medications and devices, trigger management and practical ways to support better lung health.

Want to find out more or organise a session for your group? Submit the request below.

Your community group or organisation can also support this work by hosting a Do Blue. Do You day, helping us continue to provide free asthma and COPD diagnosis, treatment, education and support services across WA.

For Sports Groups

Physical activity is important to help manage asthma but for some people living with asthma, it can also be more challenging to participate in sports. For others, they may be concerned that their asthma is holding them back from getting involved.

Each person’s asthma is different so it’s important to understand the various ways in which you can support people to safely get back on the playing field.
