Our experienced Respiratory Health Nurses and Educators can help to support and educate patients and their loved ones with asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to help them live their best lives. All diagnosis results and education summaries are shared with our patient’s primary health professional.
I am a Health Professional
Respiratory Care WA supports GPs and health service providers by providing in-community services to help improve respiratory health for your patients.
We’re formerly Asthma WA but after seeing the unmet need of services for COPD and community outreach, we’ve changed our name to Respiratory Care WA.
How we help your patients
– Basic facts and symptoms of asthma and COPD
– Understanding prescribed medication and when to take it
– Checking of device technique
– Management goal setting for asthma and COPD
– Establishment and reviews of asthma and/or COPD Care Plans
Promoting self-management of their condition
Respiratory Care WA also supports patients with free, bulk-billed Lung Function Testing across our eight satellite hubs.
We deliver diagnosis and education through 1:1 telehealth and face to face appointments, Lung Function Testing, Community education, Education for schools.
Respiratory Care WA now has Respiratory Hubs across Perth and in the South West. The Australian first integrated hubs combined Lung Function Testing, specialist review and reporting and education, all in a single hub. All results are shared with our patient’s GP or referring health professional.
To help support respiratory knowledge in the community, we work with our Clinical Advisory Group and Respiratory Specialists to provide resources and monthly webinars for health professionals.
